The sandstone cave from which this the Rockhouse Trail above Athens gets its name. Viewed in the lush greenery of summer with an outstanding crop of jewelweed surrounding the camera.
You can access the Rockhouse trail from the trailhead behind the "dance barn" at the end of the road across the street from the Walmart parking lot. Proceed north about a half mile then turn right at the bridge and you are on the Rockhouse Trail. Stay to the right and you should have no problem finding the cave about 1.3 miles up the trail.
