In a stream between massive sandstone piers that once supported a bridge for the M&C Railroad (Marietta & Cincinnati), later MC&C Railroad (Marietta, Columbus and Cleveland). In the late 1800's and early 1900's this railroad served the sandstone quarry industry in Washington county, west of Marietta. A few traces of the railroad remain including these spectacular piers located just off township road 239 about 3 miles east of Cutler. Presumably these piers are constructed from local sandstone.
Unless you are familiar with the area getting here is tricky. You will have to choose the correct fork in the road several times so bring a map or GPS receiver.
