It is hard to photograph Joe-Pye weed because it is usually sticking up above everything else pale flowers washed out against the bright sky. But this one anchored below on a steep bank of the Hocking river shows up well against the opposite bank. The orange flowers are touch-me-nots, aka jewelweed.
