The roundabout at the intersection of Richland Avenue and SR 682 nearing completion. Pedestrians, bicyclists and wildlife will appreciate the slower moving vehicles, refuge islands and pedestrian underpass compared to the leap of faith and occasional high-speed collision crossing the previous intersection. But the project is nonetheless mired in controversy with some folks forecasting increased traffic delays, accidents and confusion in spite of assurances to the contrary by traffic engineers.
