As I was walking by one day the sight of this tree stopped me in my tracks. An awesome red oak said to be the county champion. Safe from the chainsaw it anchors the northwest corner of Athens Conservancy's Blair Preserve. Not along any trail but close enough to Strouds Run road to pay a visit.
