View from the terrace of Fort Boreman Historical Park above Parkersburg where the Little Kanawha joins the Ohio and river. The actual fort was located on the hill above for purposes of better lobbing cannon balls at boats below during the civil war. Only a theoretical advantage though since the war never came this far north.
